Global Aerospace Leader SATYS Expands Operations on Florida’s Space Coast
A new wave of innovation has landed on Florida’s Space Coast. The Economic Development Commission (EDC) of Florida’s Space Coast recently announced that Satys, a world leader in aircraft and rail painting, has officially chosen Brevard County for its latest North American expansion. The project brings a $1.5 million capital investment and will create 40 new high-wage jobs, adding fresh momentum to the region’s booming aviation and aerospace sector.
Satys, headquartered in Blagnac, France, operates in 13 countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Its arrival on the Space Coast marks a major step in its U.S. business development strategy, supported by partnerships with global names like Dassault Aviation. The company’s advanced paint hangars will feature cutting-edge technologies — including remote-controlled gondolas and aircraft scanning systems designed for efficiency and environmental precision.
“This expansion perfectly illustrates how Brevard County continues to attract high-value international investment,” said Lynda Weatherman, President and CEO of the EDC of Florida’s Space Coast. “Satys’ presence enhances our region’s position as a global aerospace and aviation hub.”
To meet workforce needs, the EDC connected Satys with CareerSource Brevard Flagler Volusia, helping identify and train local talent. By summer 2025, Satys began hiring skilled technicians, and by November, its first aircraft was fully serviced in Brevard County — a milestone that symbolizes the growth of the Space Coast’s advanced manufacturing and aviation industries.
Satys employs more than 2,600 professionals worldwide and has trained over 500 aeronautical painters and sealers since 2023. The company plans to add at least 200 more positions globally by 2026.
